Indoor air quality (IAQ) has become an increasingly important issue for the health and welfare of employers, employees, health care workers, and the general public at large. Poor IAQ can affect people with:
Allergies
Asthma
Chemical sensitivities
Cardiopulmonary disease
Weakened immune systems
Major problem areas that affect IAQ include inadequate ventilation, chemical contamination, and microbiological contamination.
In response to the above problems, NQE developed a series of innovative, powerful airflow and purification systems for a variety of environments and needs. These include the NQ 500 (fixed or mobile), NQ 400 (fixed), NQ 250 (fixed), NQ1000 (mobile).
These units transform virtually any room into a germ-free space at a low cost. All are compliant with OSHA, CDC, and CSA guidelines, and employ the following technological innovations making them truly effective in controlling cross contamination and protecting health care practitioners, other patients and visitors from airborne pathogens:
Ultra-Violet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI)
Destroys airborne bacteria at certain levels of UV radiation
High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) Filtration
HEPA filters remove airborne pathogens, microorganisms and particles at very high efficiencies (99.97% on particles of 0.3 microns and larger).
Activated Carbon for Odour / Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) Control
Carbon models with unique activated carbon cell system offer effective odour and VOC removal.
Air Intake and Outflow Locations to Eliminate Dead Air Spots
Air is drawn into the bottom of the unit, is purified, and then exhausted from the top at a 45-degree angle. Clean air then travels across the ceiling pushing contaminated air down to the floor and out of the breathing zone where it can be drawn into the unit
Because of this design, dead air spots in the room do not occur, ensuring total air cleaning.
They also come standard with:
Prefilters:
To capture particles larger than Mycobacterium Tuberculosis
Prevent dust and dirt accumulating on the UVGI lamps and HEPA filter, adding to their effectiveness and efficiency
Alarms:
An audible alarm if the device becomes disconnected or unplugged.
A visible pressure gauge and LED light located on the front panel indicating that the UVGI lamps are operational.
Monitors:
Minihelic pressure gauges measure the pressure differential across the HEPA filter including the outlet grille
Warranty Period
NQ Environmental Inc.s manufacturer's warranty is for 2 (two) years parts & labor
Troubleshooting
NQ units are relatively simple in both design and operation. A troubleshooting guide is included in the operators manual.
Available options include:
Negative Pressure
Most units can be converted to a negative pressure option by simply replacing
the top louver panel with a negative pressure top. This top is 13 x 26, with both
a 10 collar for ducted exhaust to create negative pressure and adjustable
louvers for partial re-circulation.
Mobility
The NQ 500 and NQ 1000 models have the option to be on mobile bases
The maneuverability of mobile versions of the NQ series make them efficient
tools in battling air quality problems, as they can be moved from problem area to
problem area quickly and effectively.
